About CMH

ClassicalMusicHomepage.com (“CMH”) is designed for all those who are active participants in the classical music world, professional and amateur musicians, organisers and service providers. The site will provide essential tools, information and links which will greatly improve personal organisation and productivity, aid communication between participants and promote musical enterprise nationally and internationally.

Who is CMH for?

The site is aimed at musicians, professional and amateur, orchestral and choral society managers, venue managers, agents, institutions, local music groups, suppliers and technicians, teachers and music schools, competition and event organisers.

What does CMH offer?

  • CMH Jobs

CMH has the most comprehensive classical music job listings online.  Rather than regularly checking two or three sites, CMH members can set up a series of Job searches and CMH will list matching jobs on the members' homepage.  In addition members can save jobs they intend to apply for.

  • CMH Reference

CMH presents the very best reference material on the web in one convenient location  covering dictionaries, glossaries, encyclopedia, theory, analysis and instrument specific material.  CMH members get full access to Grove Online which includes Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, Grove Opera, Grove Jazz and Grove Art.  In addition all members can listen to 19,700 classical CDs through the Naxos Music Library!

  • CMH Diary Service

The first fully automated diary service that will improve efficiency across the board, from professional musicians seeking employment to fixers seeking musicians. The CMH Diary service will reduce the often cumbersome and time consuming process of booking musicians and remove the need for multiple phone calls, voicemails and text messages. It will also allow musicians to advertise their availability for work and profile their experience to potential employers.

  • CMH Tickets

Through our partnership with TicketSwitch.com, users of CMH can buy tickets for concerts, attractions, theatre and days out.

  • Imprimata Self-Publishing

Imprimata Edition (a CMH subsidiary) presents its new service for composers and arrangers, whereby musicians can publish their own work to a highly finished and professionally bound standard.  Imprimata Edition gives each work an ISMN (international standard music numbers) and ISBN, which makes them available for order through any existing music or book retailer.

  • CMH Organiser

The CMH Organiser enables users to easily organise their daily activities and also 'share' their diary details with other members.  For example, members of a string quartet will be able to quickly find times when all four members are available for rehearsals. In addition users can send and receive email from any existing account, backup their address book and store useful documents online.

  • CMH News and Events

All current News stories of interest are catalogued and linked from CMH.  The Events database will be powered by Concert-Diary.com, the most comprehensive database of UK classical music events. Members will also be able to add information about their own concerts or events by registering with Concert-Diary.com.
