 Southbank Centre is the UK’s largest arts centre, occupying a 21-acre site that sits in the midst of London’s most vibrant cultural quarter on the South Bank of the Thames. It includes the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room and the Hayward Gallery as well as The Saison Poetry Library and the Arts Council Collection. Southbank Centre is home to four Resident Orchestras – the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the London Sinfonietta and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.

Do you thrive on finding practical solutions in a fast-moving creative environment? In this exciting new role, you will support the Artistic Director by organising the overall planning of the Arts Programming department both short and long term, ensuring excellence in administration and consistency and effectiveness in delivery across the team.  Key responsibilities will include managing the arts interface with other departments and working with artform heads to oversee budget and people management and quality control issues as well as collaborating, communicating and liaising with colleagues across the organisation and external partners.

With significant experience of working in an arts management role at a senior level, outstanding interpersonal skills and extensive people management experience, you will be strategic and delivery-focussed, enjoying taking the initiative, negotiating and problem-solving to turn ideas into action. Experience of complex financial management and planning, administrative and operational processes within a creative environment is also essential.
